Nouns, verbs, adjectives, prepositions — knowing how these parts of speech work together helps you form real sentences.
Step 6: Speak and Write About Yourself
Start talking and writing about your name, family, job, country, and favorite things. Use real-life vocabulary that matters to you.
Step 7: Ask and Answer Everyday Questions
Practice questions like: What’s your name? Where are you from? What time is it? Where do you live?
Step 8: Learn from Native Speakers

This blog does such a great job of breaking down the overwhelming process of learning English into manageable and encouraging steps. I love how it starts by acknowledging that English is quirky. It instantly makes learners feel less alone in their struggles. The mix of mindset, practical tips, and real-world application is super helpful. I’m curious—what’s been the most effective step for your learners so far, especially among beginners?
Hi Kavitha, thanks for your comments. As for your question, the most effective step for beginner learners is and always will be the constant and consistent practice which is a combination of steps 8-11. That’s where the “magic” happens.
