What do you think about music? What’s your favorite? Does music help you learn? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Leave them in the comments section.
I always reply.
This is such a lovely approach to learning English! My son actually picked up a lot of English just by watching movies, but now I’m thinking music would’ve been an even better option, less screen time and just as fun. If only I had known earlier!
I’m curious though. Do you have any recommended English songs that are especially good for beginners? Something clear and catchy would be great to start with. I’d love to introduce this method to my nieces too.
Thanks for sharing such a creative and practical idea!
Hi Sharon, thanks for your comments. I have many songs that I like. The thing is, everyone has different preferences. I don’t know your son’s age or his music preferences but I’ll be you do. The first song I ever played for my students was a Beatles song-“In My Life”. They loved it. One of my favorites that they like is the song by Randy Newman-“I Love L.A.”. Keep in mind, we are in Southern CA.
